In short:
- Plans renew monthly until you cancel.
- All payments are final: no refunds.
- We work to keep the data current and accurate, but gaps and mistakes happen, and we fix them as quickly as we can.
- The data is for enthusiasts, researchers and developers. It is not offered for gambling or sports betting, and we're not responsible for any financial outcome of using it.
1. Agreement
By checking the box to accept these terms and completing a payment, you (and any organization you name) agree to these Subscription Terms and to the API terms. Stats Orb (“Stats Orb”, “we”) provides the subscription. If these terms and the API terms conflict about a paid plan, these terms apply. If you don't agree, don't subscribe.
2. Your subscription
- Paid plans: Developer $49 per month (120 requests per minute, 100,000 per day); Business $299 per month (300 requests per minute, 1,000,000 per day).
- You pay through our payment processor, Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
- Your first month is charged when you subscribe. Your plan then renews automatically every month on the same date, and the monthly price (plus any overage, see section 3) is charged to your payment method until you cancel. By subscribing, you authorize these recurring charges.
- Prices are in U.S. dollars and don't include taxes; you're responsible for any taxes that apply. We'll e-mail you at least 30 days before a price change applies to your plan. You can cancel before then.
- A subscription is for one account, the person or organization that signed up. Don't share keys or resell access.
3. Overage
Requests beyond your plan's daily limit (“overage”) are allowed on paid plans. They cost $9 per 1,000 requests or part of 1,000. Overage for each billing period is added to the next renewal invoice. If your plan ends, it goes on a final invoice. You can set a monthly overage spending cap in your account. Requests that would go over the cap are refused instead of billed.
4. Upgrades, downgrades and cancellation
- Upgrades take effect immediately. The price difference for the rest of the current period is charged right away.
- Downgrades: cancel, then subscribe to the lower plan when your paid period ends, or contact us.
- Cancel any time on your billing page. Cancellation stops future renewals. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you've already paid for, and then ends. Until then, you can resume.
- We may end or suspend a subscription that breaks these terms or the API terms. If we stop offering a plan for any other reason, your access continues until the end of the period you've paid for.
5. No refunds
All payments are final and non-refundable. We don't give refunds or credits. That includes partial months, unused requests or quota, upgrades, cancellations, periods when the API was unavailable, and data that was missing, late or wrong. When you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period you've paid for instead of receiving a refund.
6. Failed payments
If a payment doesn't go through, your API keys are paused until the amount due is paid. Stripe retries the payment automatically, and you can pay or update your payment method at any time on your billing page. If the payment still fails after the retries, your plan may end.
7. Data accuracy
We work hard to keep all data current, complete and accurate. But sports data comes from many sources and much of it is processed automatically. Gaps, delays and mistakes happen. For example, a result may be missing or recorded late, a figure may be wrong, or a rating or projection may be calculated from incomplete information. When we find a problem, or you tell us about one, we correct it as quickly as we reasonably can. Please report errors through our contact page.
The data, ratings and projections are provided “as is” and “as available”. Errors, gaps, delays and outages don't entitle you to a refund or credit.
8. Intended use: not for gambling or sports betting
Stats Orb data is provided for sports enthusiasts, researchers and developers: to explore, study, display and build with. It is not offered for the purpose of gambling, sports betting or wagering of any kind. That includes betting on games or outcomes, betting tools or tipping services, and contests where money is at stake. Ratings and projections are statistical estimates. They are not predictions you should rely on, and they are not betting, investment or financial advice. If you or your users use the data in any of those ways anyway, that is entirely at your own risk.
9. No responsibility for financial outcomes
To the fullest extent the law allows, Stats Orb is not responsible for any financial outcome connected with the use of its data: by you, your users or anyone else. That covers losses, missed gains, wagers, trades, purchases and business decisions, including any that rely on data that turns out to be missing, late or wrong. You are responsible for how you and your users use the data, and for following any laws that apply to that use. The limits of liability, the disclaimers and your duty to indemnify Stats Orb in the API terms also apply.
10. Other terms
We may update these terms. For changes that matter, we'll e-mail you at least 30 days before they apply to your subscription. If you keep your subscription after that, you accept the updated terms; if you don't agree, cancel before they apply. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If any part is unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Nothing in these terms takes away rights that the law gives you and that can't be waived. Questions: contact us.
